Don't be deceived by the title of this section of the website. While this section is intended as an area to share thoughts, ideas, case examples, and tools regarding the pursuit of excellence in business, these ideas and information can and have often been adopted (or adapted for use) by non-profits, specialized work teams, civic groups, and a number of other settings where groups of people seek to work together toward a common goal.

W. Edwards Deming, Father of the Quality Movement...
After World War II, the U.S. "exported" one of its most valuable but underappreciated assets, a man by the name of W. Edwards Deming. We sent him to Japan to assist in reconstruction of their industry. As a result, they turned around and produced goods far superior in terms of quality and the U.S. struggled to "catch up."
